Pilates Classes with Joanne - Including Chair Pilates & Triggerpoint Pilates
Each Pilates class is an hour and provides a full-body workout that focuses on core
strength, improved muscle tone, increased flexibility, and heightened body awareness.
Expect to work through a combination of classical Pilates exercises alongside functional variations and alternatives, ensuring a balanced and effective workout. Small equipment such as the Pilates Magic Circle, Resistance Bands, soft Pilates ball & Toning Balls are incorporated to provide extra challenge and maximize results.
After each class, you’ll feel stronger, leaner, and more in tune with the connection between your body and mind.

Tight myofascia often disrupts proper core function, but once released, it improves proprioceptive awareness and enhances overall movement. Many participants experience immediate relief from muscle tension, leading to a lighter, more flexible body.
By the end of each session, you'll feel lengthened, restored, and able to move with greater ease.
The method uses your body weight, breath and small tools like a Pilates ball, prickle balls, foam roller, and resistance band to target connective tissue and release muscle tension.

What to expect:
During a 45 minute session with Joanne, we'll explore a range of exercises from seated and standing positions, work on balance, joint flexibility, and strength. We use small equipment like
resistance bands, soft balls, prickle balls & Toning Balls - all great tools for supporting bone health and managing osteoporosis.
You’ll get all the variety and benefits of a traditional mat Pilates class, just with the support of a chair!
Mondays at 10:15am at The Studio - Stowe Castle.
Taster session £11 - £9.50 each block booking
Due to Pilates being a specialist form of exercise - please note that clients are asked to pay in advance for each Block Booking of group-based classes (no refunds for missed sessions). This is after an initial taster session. A missed session can be made up during the current block booking at another session subject to availability or a Online Playback session is available via Facebook. It is a fair approach enabling the class ability to be considered in planning and delivering the group session.
Class numbers are limited(usually around 10) and kept to a maximum of 12 per session.
Pre & Postnatal mums are welcome to classes as Joanne is Pre & Postnatal Certified. This is subject to Pre-Exercise Questionaire & screening. A 1-2-1 session will be recommended if not already regularly attending Pilates Class pre-pregnancy.
Classes are £11 per session(taster or drop-in - subject to availability) or £9.50 per session for pre-booked 5-8 week course(full payment due at 1st session).
1-2-1 Personal Training (including postural analysis) and Small Group bookings are available upon request and priced at: £45-£65 hour session. Ask about discount for block bookings of 6 or more sessions (24 hr cancellation notice required)
